Our caregiver consultant meets with sons/daughters of older adults, spousal caregivers, and other concerned family members or friends. This program is county-wide and takes place at our offices, in client homes, at clients' work sites, and over the telephone.
The focus of caregiver consultation varies based on the needs of the client. Some clients are helped to better understand community resources. Other people need help understanding dementia or other health conditions. Other family caregivers need help in decision-making, especially regarding the need for changing housing.
