The Older Adults Program's volunteer component is called Northwest Partners. Volunteers are recruited from the community to serve as friendly visitors, drivers, and chores assistants.
Some volunteers are matched one-on-one with clients and provide help weekly or twice monthly. Other volunteers are on-call to help a variety of clients with occasional tasks such as a ride to a doctor or a minor household chore.
Clients who receive volunteer assistance continue to have professional social services as needed as well as case supervision by a professional social worker.
The Northwest Partners Program seeks volunteers of all types, including busy community members who can only serve a few times per year. To learn more about volunteering, contact Carol Savage at (614) 273-2963 or csavage@northwestcounselingservices.org.
